I see after reading this that some will be better off using any or all of the above plants . Why? Well I believe the spirit of man and nature can be combined to gain insight into our own psychological essence . True some do use alcohol for this effect but the harm done to the body is something not to be taken lightly. Therefore we have these plants as alternatives .

Mr Right, kids… I need to introduce you to my son. Oops, I can’t do that because he is dead. My bad. He went into cardiac arrest as a result of using of some of these “safe options” as you called them. I pray you never lose anyone or kill yourself with “safe options”. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean its safe! Drugs don’t make you cool. Wake up! This crap will kill you.

You left out hops, skullcap, intoxicating mint, blue lotus and more then a few others including wild lettuce. all the above mentioned except for intoxicating mint are sedatives.

This article is horribly full of errors. Virtually every single plant has some error in its description, and some of them are not even the right plant.

Actually the ayahuasca vine aka banisteriopsis caapi does not contain DMT however it contains the MAOI. In the Ayahuasca drink the DMT comes from the leaves of the other plant (usually chacruna or chaliponga).
